Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 25 October 2026
These terms apply when you book a photography session, order products or buy a gift from Dog Photography Glasgow, c/o Adco Media, 44 West George Street, Glasgow G2 1DH. "We" and "us" mean Dog Photography Glasgow; "you" means the person making the booking.
1. Booking and payment
- Your session is booked once we've confirmed it in writing and the £149 session fee has been paid in full.
- For more than one dog, the session fee stays £149 and the session time is shared between your dogs.
- Orders for photographs and products (including framed wall art, photo albums, acrylic photo blocks, USB presentation cases and digital collections) are paid in full when you place your order, before we begin.
- Prices are those shown on our website or in your written quote when you book or order.
2. Your £50 credit
- Your session fee includes £50 credit, which is taken off the photographs or products you choose from that session. It has no cash value, cannot be transferred and is not refunded if unused.
3. Moving or cancelling your session
- Need to move your session? Let us know at least 7 days before and we'll move it free of charge to another date that suits us both.
- With less than 7 days' notice, or if you don't attend, we may keep the session fee, as the date was reserved for you. If we're able to fill the slot, we'll offer to rebook you.
- If you booked online, by phone or by email, you can cancel within 14 days of booking for a full refund, unless your session has already taken place at your request within that time.
4. Weather and events outside our control
- If weather or conditions would make the session unsafe or unsuitable, we'll contact you to discuss rearranging it.
- If we have to cancel because of illness, an emergency or something else outside our control, we'll rearrange or refund anything you have paid for work not yet done.
5. Your dog's welfare
- You are responsible for your dog throughout the session, including keeping them on a lead where the law, location rules or safety require it. Leads can usually be edited out.
- Please tell us beforehand about any nervousness, reactivity, health or mobility needs.
- We may pause, adapt or end a session if continuing would put your dog, you, the public or us at risk.
- Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
6. Locations
- Sessions in Glasgow and our listed local areas have no travel charge. A travel charge applies further afield and is confirmed with you before booking.
- We can't guarantee access to a particular spot, view or conditions on the day. If a location becomes unavailable, we'll suggest a suitable alternative.
- If a location needs permission or has a cost, we'll confirm it with you in advance.
7. Your photographs
- Within 2 to 4 weeks of your session, your photographs will be ready in your own private online gallery.
- Photography is creative. We'll photograph your dog with care and skill in our usual style, but we can't guarantee particular poses, expressions or shots.
- We choose and edit the photographs presented to you. Unedited and RAW files are not supplied.
- Editing includes colour and tone, removing leads and minor distractions. Larger alterations may cost extra and will be agreed with you first.
8. Products
- Every product we sell, including framed wall art, photo albums, acrylic photo blocks, USB presentation cases and digital collections, is made or prepared to order for you with your own photographs and personalisation. Because of this, once your order is confirmed it cannot be cancelled, returned or refunded. This does not affect your rights if a product is faulty or not as described.
- For digital photographs, by asking us to deliver your files you agree that delivery can begin straight away, and you understand that you lose the right to cancel once delivery has begun.
- Colours may vary slightly between screen and print.
- If anything arrives damaged or faulty, please tell us as soon as possible, ideally with photos, and we'll put it right.
- Delivery is charged separately and confirmed with you before you order.
9. Digital files
- Digital photographs are delivered by online gallery or USB, as agreed.
- Please download and keep your own backup. We keep delivered files for 30 days after delivery and can't guarantee storage after that.
10. Copyright and how photographs can be used
- We keep the copyright in all photographs. Buying a session, print or file does not transfer it.
- You may use digital files you have bought for personal use: printing for yourself, displaying at home and sharing on personal social media.
- Please don't sell them, use them for business, heavily alter or filter them, or use them with AI tools without our permission.
- With your permission, we may use photographs from your session on our website, social media and marketing. Just tell us if you'd prefer we didn't.
11. Gift vouchers
- Gift vouchers are planned with the buyer, cover an agreed photoshoot and artwork, and are paid in full in advance.
- They are not a monetary amount and have no cash value.
- They are valid for 6 months from purchase, and the session must take place within that time.
- They are not refundable once the buyer's 14-day cancellation period has passed, except where the law requires.
- The recipient's session is covered by these terms, and changes can be discussed with us within what was agreed.
12. If something goes wrong
- If an equipment or file failure means we can't deliver your photographs, we'll offer a free reshoot or a refund.
- We're not responsible for problems caused by incorrect information you give us or by not following reasonable safety instructions.
- Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
13. Complaints
- If you're unhappy with anything, contact us at hello@dogphotographyglasgow.co.uk and we'll do our best to put it right.
14. Privacy
- We handle your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy.
15. Law
- These terms are governed by the law of Scotland. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
