Kelvingrove Park
Lawns, mature trees and paths beside the River Kelvin give several outdoor background options. We would consider foot traffic and a comfortable meeting point during planning.
Outdoor photography · Glasgow West End
Leafy paths, established parks and the Kelvin corridor offer varied backgrounds for outdoor portraits in Glasgow’s West End.
Enquire About a SessionThe West End offers a useful mix of open parkland and more enclosed, leafy settings. A portrait framed by mature trees has a different feel from a photograph beside a broad lawn or along a riverside path. Choosing between those backgrounds is part of planning the session, rather than a reason to rush between several parks. We can discuss the surroundings you prefer and how comfortable your dog is in a busy public space.
For owners in Hyndland, Hillhead and Partick, Kelvingrove Park is one option to discuss. Victoria Park may suit an enquiry from Whiteinch, Broomhill or Jordanhill, while Dawsholm brings a more wooded setting to the conversation for Kelvindale and Anniesland. These are starting points, not fixed meeting places: we agree a suitable outdoor location through your enquiry and consultation.
Photography can include individual portraits, natural movement and photographs with you. Dogs do not need to perform to a particular standard; the experience gives them time to settle. Paths may be shared with walkers, cyclists and other dogs, so the choice of setting takes those distractions into account. Local access rules, on-lead requirements and the conditions on the day always guide what is appropriate.

The outdoor gardens offer a different setting from the riverside parks. Any proposed photography must respect current garden rules; indoor glasshouses are not part of our outdoor sessions.
Tree-lined paths and open grass provide a choice between leafy and more open compositions. Water, other dogs and busy paths are factors to consider for an individual dog.
A wooded setting to consider for a less formal portrait background. Path conditions and current access rules need checking before agreeing a session here.
The photography experience
The £149 experience includes a complimentary consultation by phone or video and a relaxed outdoor session, typically around 60 minutes. Your private online gallery is ready 2 to 4 weeks after your session.
Your session fee covers your consultation and photoshoot. Digital photographs, wall art and albums are chosen afterwards from your private gallery. Your session includes £50 credit, taken off whatever you choose from your gallery.
Optional Photography ProductsYes. Tell us which park you have in mind when enquiring. We discuss its suitability and any local restrictions before agreeing the location.
Yes. The photography experience allows for photographs together as well as individual dog portraits.
Not at all. Every dog is welcome, whatever their training. Sit, stay and down are handy if your dog knows them, but they’re not essential. We work with your dog as they are, and some of the best portraits come from the moments in between. Your dog stays safely on their lead with you throughout, and where possible, we remove the lead when editing your final portraits.
If conditions are not suitable for photography, we can discuss rearranging the session.
